Dog Sees God

Bert V. Royal’s Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead follows CB, who is struggling to understand the meaning of life after his dog dies of rabies. With his friends indulging in drugs and alcohol, CB begins to develop a relationship with a bullied outcast, Beethoven.

For this production, I served as the stage manager to director Maddie Miller. With three moments of intimacy and four fights, I worked closely with the cast and director to develop the trust necessary for a show that deals with a variety of triggering subjects. As a Studio production, I managed 7 student designers, 10 cast members, and a crew run crew of three. Rehearsals began in January 2022 and performances ran from February 24-27th.
